The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at PK Das Liberal College of Arts & Science, Lakkidi, on 15 August 2026 with great patriotic spirit. The programme began with flag hoisting at 8:30 AM, followed by patriotic songs and cultural programmes. An Independence Day pledge ceremony was also conducted. The occasion also marked the launch of the NSS Unit (SF-069) of the college. As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, NSS volunteers distributed handmade National Flags to nearby households, assisted residents in hoisting the flags, and saluted the Tricolour together. The programme promoted patriotism, unity, and the spirit of community service among students.
